About Your Surgeon: 

Dr. Tae Youn graduated Magna Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa Honors from Occidental College with his B.A. in Mathematics prior to obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Four months prior to graduating dental school, he had his first oral surgery rotation at LAC USC medical center and he totally fell in love with oral surgery! Dr. Youn immediately canceled the accepted offer to the prosthodontic residency program and he started his first oral surgery training as an intern. Because he stayed at USC another year, Dr. Youn met the love of his life!

Subsequently, Dr. Youn graduated with his medical degree from Keck School of Medicine at USC prior to completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency.

During his six year oral surgery residency at USC, Dr. Youn finished one formal year of general surgery residency and the rest of the years training in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including maxillofacial trauma, reconstruction, pathology, corrective orthognathic jaw surgery and dental implant surgery.

Upon completion of his advanced training in oral surgery, his family decided to move back to the Pacific Northwest where his wife grew up (who is a practicing endodontist in Mill Creek). When not at the office, Dr. Youn enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

As a family, they enjoy swimming, hiking and camping.
